This shrub has woody stems with spreading branches that form a compact bushy habit. It has rigid dark green pointed lobed leaves and the narrow creamy white tube-shaped flowers appear in a domed cluster amongst the foliage during spring.

Grevillea phanerophlebiais naturally found in south-west Western Australia between Mullewa and Mingenew near Geraldton growing in open scrub and heath on sandplanes.
It prefers an open sunny position but tolerates some shade and grows in well-drained poor to moderately fertile white or yellow sandy or heavy gravelly loam that is tending acidic. It prefers a hot dry summer with cool wet winter and is drought and moderately frost tolerant.
The Prominent Vein Grevillea is grown for its prickly bushy habit and its flowers. It is planted small or native gardens along borders as a specimen or used in public places as a pedestrian barrier. it is also grown in containers when young and is uses as a bird haven.
It is suitable for coastal and inland regions and establishes in 2-4 years and is moderately long lived. This shrub is regarded threatened in its native habitat and maybe difficult to obtain requiring a specialist nursery. ID 3820
Note:
Although this plant prefers a Mediterranean climate it has been successfully cultivated in the humid eastern states.
