This small to large tree has a smooth whitish bark that sheds in strips and ascending branches that form a narrow rounded crown. It has thick leathery grey green broad lance-shaped leaves and the small creamy white flowers appear in a cluster in summer.

Eucalyptus georgei is a naturally found in south-west Western Australia growing near Norsman in white or red sandy to calcareous loam in slight depressions or on hillsides.

It prefers an open sunny position and grows in very well drained moderately fertile sandy soils and is drought and light frost tolerant.

Hyden Blue Gum is grown for its attractive foliage, flowers and bark. It is planted in small or arid gardens along borders for screening and attracting birds. It is also grown as a specimen in parks and botanic collections and is suitable to inland regions. It establishes in 3-4 years and is moderately long-lived. This tree is not commonly cultivated and it may be difficult to obtain requiring a specialist nursery. ID 3791
