This herbaceous perennial has slender spreading stems that form a prostrate to upright habit. It has hairy grey-green divided leaves and the yellow centred white daisy-like flowers appear solitary or in pairs above the foliage from spring to late summer.

Anacycus pyrethrumis naturally found in Northern Africa from Morocco to Algeria and Tunisia. It is also found in regions of the Mediterranean and extending to the Himalayas, northern India and the Arabian countries. It grows from sea level to an altitude of 3,000m (9842 ft) appearing on the mountain slopes and in the valleys.
It prefers a open sunny position and grows in a well drained stony soil that is tending alkaline and is frost and drought tolerant.
The Mt. Atlas Daisy is grown for its spreading habit and its flowers. It is planted in small, alpine or cottage gardens as an edging plant or is used in a sunny rockery. It is also grown in raised garden beds or mass planted as a ground cover or spill-over in a gravel garden. It is suitable for coastal and mountainous regions establishing in 1-2 years but is short lived. This perennial is grown in patio pots or planted in rock crevices and is heat tolerant.
