This cormous perennial has long dark green linear leaves and forms a small clump. The pink tube-shaped flowers appear in a dense spherical cluster high above the foliage on a slender twinning stem during summer.

It prefers a semi-shaded position and grows in well-drained moderately fertile stony soils that dry out during summer and is frost and drought tolerant.

Twining Brodiaea is grown for its flowers and is planted amongst shrubs along borders or in perennial beds. It is suitable for coastal and inland regions establishing in 2-3 years and is moderately long lived.
