This herbaceous perennial has a short thick rhizome with ascending stems and terminal leaves that form a compact clumping habit. It has large mid-green diamond-shaped leaves and the white broad funnel-shaped flowers appear in mid-spring.

It is suitable for low-mountain regions establishing in 2-3 years and is moderately long-lived.
