This small herbaceous shrub has spreading slender stems that form a dense prostrate habit. It has dark green thin textured oblong leaves and the tiny yellowish green male and female flowers appear amongst the foliage from spring to summer.

Caucasian Spurge is grown for its dense spreading habit and its attractive foliage. It is planted in low garden borders or used as a ground cover. It is also grown above retaining walls as the spill-over and is mass planted on embankments in parks and large gardens.
