This perennial has a fleshy root and caudex with flat rosettes of dark green spoon-shaped toothed leaves.It has pink-striped white funnel-shaped flowers that appear in a cluster above the foliage on slender stems from spring to early summer.

The Siskiyou Lewisia is grown for its bright flowers and is planted in rockeries or rock crevices in small or alpine gardens. It is suitable for mountainous regions and establishes in 2-3 years but may be short lived.
