Asperula boissieriis naturally found in Greece growing in the mountains on alpine and sub-alpine grasslands in scree at an altitude up to 1,800 m (5,905 ft).

It prefers a open to exposed sunny position and grows in well drained moderately fertile sandy-stony soils that are tending acidic. It is frost and drought tolerant and deer resistant.

This Woodruff is grown for its low spreading habit and its flowers. It is planted in alpine gardens along front borders or in rockeries as a spill-over. It is also grown in pots and tubs requiring little care once established. It is suitable for low-mountain regions and establishes in 2-3 years. This small perennial may be difficult to obtain requiring a specialised nursery. ID 3352
