This variably sized tree has a smooth powdery white trunk with spreading branches that form and irregular round at crown. It has dull grey green lance-shaped leaves and the small creamy white flowers appear in a cluster during summer followed by woody capsules.

Eucalyptus laeliaeis naturally found in south-west Western Australia from the north-east Perth to Collie on the western side of the Darling Ranges growing in pure stands inland in open forest on hilly areas and on the coast commonly along water courses.

It prefers an open a sunny position and it grows in well-drained moderately fertile sandy-stony to clay soils and it is a drought and frost tolerant.

Darling Range Ghost Gum is grown for its attractive bark and its rounded crown. It is planted in parks and gardens as a specimen tree or use in a bushland setting for attracting birds. It can also be grown along borders is a tall screen or windbreak. It is suitable for coastal and inland regions and establishes in 3-4 years and is moderately long-lived. ID 3314
