This small tufted shrub is upright with many spreading branches that form a rounded bushy habit. It has small grey-green needle-like leaves and the small feathery pink saucer-shaped flowers appear in a dense cluster during spring.

Verticordia plumosais naturally found throughout south-west Western Australia growing on the coast and inland in well drained moderately fertile sandy soils.
It prefers an open sunny position with a dry summer and is drought tolerant but frost tender.
The Plumed Featherflower is grown for its flowers and rounded habit. It is planted in small and native gardens along borders or in rockeries and is commonly cultivated in pots or tubs. It is suitable for coastal and inland regions establishing in 2-3 years but is short lived. This species is cultivated in the humid eastern states with moderate success. ID 3184
