This variable shrub has a short stem with slender spreading branches that form a compact bushy habit. It has blue green to dark green oblong to divided leaves and the small pinkish tube-shaped flowers appear in a small raceme from spring to summer.

Grevillea pectinatais naturally found in southwest Western Australia growing on the eastern end of the Stirling ranges to Esperance amongst low to tall mallee or scrubland and heathland along the coast and inland.
It prefers an open to exposed sunny position with a hot dry summer and a wet winter. It grows in well drained poor to moderately fertile sandy -stony to gravelly loam or clay loam that is tending acidic. It is drought and light frost tolerant and regenerates after fire from a lignotuber or from seed.
The Comb-leaved Grevillea is grown for its dense bushy habit and its flowers. It is planted along the borders in parks and gardens as a low screen or to attract birds they can also be grown in patio tubs and planter boxes when a young.
It is suitable coastal and inland regions and establishes in 3-4 years and is moderately long lived. It is also planted in bushland settings or used in commercial sites requiring little care once established. This shrub is also successful in the humid eastern states and grafted plants are available.
