This variable shrub has woody stems that are upright or spreading and forms a tangled prostrate to a low mounted habit. It has dark green divided leaves with variable pointed lobes and clusters of pink tube-shaped flowers appear during late spring.

Grevillea leptobotrysis naturally found in south-western Western Australia growing on the eastern side of the Darling Ranges in woodlands or forests in well drained moderately fertile gravelly, sandy to clay loams. It prefers an open sunny position and is frost and drought tolerant.
The Tangled Grevillea is grown for its flowers and habit although not commonly cultivated. It is planted in arid gardens as a spillover plant or grown in botanical collections. It is suitable for inland regions and exposed positions on ridges and establishes in 1 to 2 years but short lived.
This plant is difficult to cultivate requiring perfect drainage, best achieved by planting on 500 mm (20 in) of coarse gravel and avoid over watering.ID 3166

This plant has no lignotuber and regrows from seed after fire.
