This Banksia is grown for its spreading habit and upright flowers. It is planted in rockeries or garden beds as a specimen and is suitable for coastal regions. It establishes in 3-4 years and is long lived. The shrub can also be grown in roof or native gardens requiring a perfect drainagebut is not easy to grow in the eastern states with a high humidity.
