This semi-evergreen perennial shrub has spreading woody branched stems that form a prostrate habit. It has small fragrant hairy silver green lobed leaves and the tiny yellow globose daisy-like flowers appear in a terminal cluster during summer.

It prefers a open to exposed sunny position and grows in well drained moderately fertile to poor dry sandy-stony to clay soils with a pH of 6-7.5 and is drought and frost tolerant.
