This upright annual has slender stems with drooping branchlets that form a bushy habit. It has oblong grey-green leaves and the yellow to purplish tube-shaped flowers appear in pendant clusters from spring to summer.

Honeywort is grown for its flowers and is planted in annual beds for colour or used along front perennial borders for small or cottage and mediterranean gardens. It is suitable for coastal regions establishing in one season and may be grown in patio pots or rockeries. ID 2870
