This herbaceous rhizomatous perennial as slender erect stems and forms a clump. It has bronze green oblong leaves that turn reddish during autumn and the yellow-green flowers appear in a terminal cluster above the foliage during early summer.

Euphorbia dulcisis naturally found from western to central and southern Europe growing in meadows and in disturbed soil along roadways, on the coast and in the lower mountains.

It prefers a sunny to semi-shaded position and grows in well-drained poor to moderately fertile organic rich moist soil but will tolerate drier soils and is ph adaptable. It is drought and frost tolerant but dislikes hot humid summers and is resistant to deer and rabbits.

Sweet Spurge is grown for its attractive foliage and its spreading habit. It is planted in small or cottage gardens along front borders or in rockeries. It is also grown as a ground cover or is planted in a woodland setting. It is suitable to coastal and low-mountain regions and establishes in 2-3 years and is moderately long lived.
