This small shrub has upright arching woody stems that form a rounded habit. It has bright green pointed elliptical leaves and the small white saucer-shaped flowers appear in dense clusters along the stems during early summer.

This Deutzia is grown for its flowers and its habit. It is planted in small or cottage gardens along borders or as a specimen. It is suitable for coastal or low mountain regions establishing in 3 to 4 years. It is also planted in patio pots or in roof gardens for summer colour. ID 2737
