This shrub to small tree has a greyish furrowed trunk with upright spreading branches that form a rounded crown. It has blue-green oblong phyllodes and the yellow ball-shaped flowers appear in clusters during spring.

Acacia jucundais naturally found in Australia growing in south-east Queensland on the dry ranges in open woodlands. It prefers a well drained moderately fertile clay loam in an open sunny position and is frost and drought tolerant.
This shrub to small tree is grown for its flowers and is planted in parks and small gardens on the coast and the adjoining tablelands as far south as Tasmania. It establishes in 2 to 3 years and is used in commercial sites or new gardens as a quick filler in borders. ID 2574
