This erect and spreading shrub has slender stems that form an open rounded habit. It has small dark green pungent leaves that are crowded along the stems and the small white tube-shaped flowers appear from winter to spring.

It prefers a well drained moderately fertile sandy soil in an open sunny to semi shaded position and is drought and frost tolerant.

Woollsia is grown for its pointed foliage and white flowers and is planted in coastal gardens or used in bushland settings. It establishes in 2 to 3 years and is suitable for patio pots or roof gardens. It is also planted along borders and used in dry gully plantings. ID 2531
