This open rounded shrub is upright with long spreading branches that covered in soft rusty-hairs toward the ends. It has grey green fern-like leaves that are tan-red when young and the deep red toothbrush-like flower heads appear late spring.

It prefers a well drained sandy soils in a wind protected sunny position and is drought and light frost tolerant but requires ample moisture during summer.

The Fern Leaf Grevillea is grown for its foliage and flowers. It is planted in parks and gardens along borders or as a specimen and is suitable for coastal regions. It establishes in 2 to 3 years and is used in bushland settings, roadside plantings or rockeries tolerating partial shade. ID 2466
