This small shrub has many slender upright-spreading stems that forming a dense rounded habit. It has narrow leathery dull green leaves and the small lemon yellow ball-shaped flowers appear solitary from winter to spring.

Under cultivation the shrub may attain a height of 4m (12ft) tall and tolerates a light prune after flowering to keep it bushy.
