This upright shrub has spreading branches that form a dense rounded habit. The silvery green divided leaves have linear leaflets and the fragrant yellow tube-shaped flowers are in dense clusters, on a very long stem above the foliage during spring.

Grevillea leucopterisis naturally found in Western Australia from the coast to inland above Perth in heath or tall scrubland.

It grows on a range of soil from sandy loam to limestone based that are well drained and moderately fertile in a wind protected sunny position and is drought tolerant but frost tender.

The Plume Grevillea is grown for its soft foliage and its spectacular flowers. It is planted in parks and gardens as a specimen, shrub borders or for screening or to attract birds. It is suitable for coastal or inland regions establishing in 1 to 2 years and self sows readily in a sub tropical to warm temperate climate. ID 2369

Note:
It is a pioneer species that quickly colonises disturbed land and may become a weed in some regions as the seeds are very viable.
