This large rare tree has an upright trunk with smooth white trunks that are fibrous base and up to 1.5m (5ft) wide. It has dark greed lanced-shaped pendant leaves on reddish branchlets and the green-white flowers appear in small clusters during autumn.

Eucalyptus benthamiiis naturally found in Australia growing in Camden New South Wales along the Nepean River and its tributaries.

It prefers a moist alluvial sandy-clay soil in an open to protected sunny position and is drought and frost resistant.

The Camden White Gum is grown for its habit and is planted along water courses in large gardens, farms and woodland settings. This tree is not commonly available but is suitable for coastal regions and establishes in 2 to 4 years. ID 2357
