This small to medium tree has a short grey-brown trunk with upright spreading branches that forms a compact domed crown. It has glossy dark green oblong leaves and the small white star-shaped flowers appear in clusters during late summer.

Acronychia oblongifoliais naturally found in Australia from Queensland to New South Wales and to the border of Victoria growing in on the margins of rainforests.
It prefers well drained, fertile moist loam that are tending acidic in a protected semi-shaded position and is frost and drought tender.

Common Acronychia is grown for its bushy habit and is planted in parks and gardens as a specimen or in rainforest settings. It is suitable for coastal and adjoining tableland regions and establishes in 3 to 5 years. It is also used in gully planting and under cultivation it tends to sucker. ID 2349
