This variable shrub to small tree has upright spreading branches that form a open rounded habit. It has leathery pale green lanced-shaped leaves and the white tube-shaped flowers appear in clusters during spring.

The Sweet-scented Hakea is grown for its flowers and is planted in shrub borders for sub-tropical gardens as a specimen or for screen planting.
