This stoloniferous perennial succulent has a short stem with dense rosette of foliage and forms a clump. It has leathery pointed dark green lanced-shaped leaves with white threads and the greenish funnel-shaped flowers appear in late summer.
Agave filiferais naturally found in North America growing in eastern Mexico from desert to subtropical regions in dry rocky regions.
It prefers a open sunny to semi shaded position and grows in very well drained moderately fertile sandy-stony soil and is drought tolerant but frost tender.
