Abromeitiella brevifoliais naturally found in South America from south-west Bolivia to north-west Argentina growing in dry rocky positions on mountain sides.

It prefers well drained moderately fertile gravelly soils in an open sunny position and tolerates drought or high temperatures but is frost tender.

This perennial is planted for its unusual growth habit and is used in botanic collections or as a glasshouse specimen. It is also used in a sunny rockery, roof gardens or as a container plant. It requires little maintenance once established but moist-wet conditions should be avoided.ID 2061
