This large tree forms a grey-brown trunk that is prominently buttress and upright spreading branches that form a rounded crown. It has divided leaves with dark green oblong leaflets and the small bell-shaped flowers appear in a cluster during summer.

Argyrodendron actinophyllumis naturally found in Australia growing in rainforests from the central Queensland coast to northern New South Wales, appearing on mountain sides or on the plateaux.

It prefers well drained, but moist fertile soils in an open sunny position and is drought and frost tender.

The Blush Tulip Oak is a large tree that is grown for its habit and is planted in parks or large gardens as a lawn specimen for shade. Note:
The growth habit varies from a broad dome in an open position to forest form in closed forests. The trunk is up to 1.5m (5ft) diameter and is longitudinally fissured or wrinkled shedding in small rectangular pieces.
