This suckering shrub has spreading woody stems that form a low dense habit. It has grey green leaflets that are held erect along the rachis opposite to each other and the red tube-shaped flowers are arranged in a toothbrush-like head from winter to summer.

Phalanx Grevillea is grown for its flowers and foliage. It is planted in small gardens as a specimen or as a ground cover and spill-over plant. It establishes in 2 to 4 years and is suitable for coastal and inland regions. It is also planted in courtyards or containers and in rockeries. ID 1925

Grafted forms of this plant are available in nurseries for other humid regions. This plant regenerates from seed or suckers after fire.
