This perennial succulent has fleshy branched stems that are topped with rosettes of glaucous green, narrow oblong fleshy leaves. It has small yellow star-shaped flowers that appear in clusters on a tall stem above the foliage during summer.

Dudleya brittoniiis naturally found in North America from Baja California to north-west Mexico. It grows in a moderately fertile humus rich, very well drained soil in an open sunny position and tolerates drought or high temperatures but is frost tender.
Chalk Duddleya is a succulent that is grown for its foliage and is used in rockeries or arid gardens as a specimen or in group plantings. It is also used as a container plant establishing from cuttings in 2 to 3 years. It is excellent colour contrast in a front border planting requiring little maintenance once established and is easy to grow.ID 1883

The short stems are covered in old leaf bases giving it a thick appearance.
