This spreading perennial has an upright to pendant habit with dark green cane-like branched stems. The broad lanced-shaped glossy green leaves are speckled in silver and the greenish white, pink to orange pendant flowers appear in clusters during summer.

Begonia albopictais naturally found in South America in Brazil growing in well drained organic rich, moist soils that are tending acid. It prefers a semi shaded protected position and requires wind, frost and drought protection.
The Guinea Winged Begonia is grown for its foliage and is planted in tropical gardens as an understorey or specimen plant. It is also grown in containers in shade-houses or as an indoor plant. Itestablishes in 2 to 3 years and is suitable for coastal and low-mountain regions. ID 1778
