This shrub can form a tree habit with a slender stem and sparse branching or shorter stems from the base forming a clump. The yellow green strap-like soft leaves are drooping and the small white saucer-shaped flowers appear in clusters during late spring.

It prefers a well-drained light to medium soil in a protected semi shaded position and is drought tender but frost tolerant.
