This large deciduous tree has solitary or multiple trunks with spreading branches that form a rounded crown. It has mid green oblong leaves and the cup-shaped pinkish flowers appear solitary over the plant during early spring.

Magnolia campbelliiis naturally found from the eastern Himalayas to north Burma and western China growing in woodlands and along riverbanks.
It prefers a well-drained organic rich moist loam in a wind protected sunny position and is drought tender and, late frosts will damage the flowers.
Campbell's Magnolia is a large tree that is grown for its flowers and is planted in parks and large gardens as a lawn specimen for summer shade. It is also grown for garden colour along borders and establishes in 3 to 5 years. It is suitable for riverside plantings inland and on the coast and is moderately deer resistant. ID 1726

This is the largest deciduous Magnolia and is vigorous but flowers are not produced for the first 20 years.
