This deciduous shrub has upright slender woody stems that form a bushy rounded habit. It has with dark green oval leaves that turn reddish during autumn and the fragrant pinkish, trumpet-shaped flowers appear in a spherical cluster in late spring.

Viburnum x juddiiis a hybrid of garden origin and is the result of Viburnum bitchiuensex Viburnum carlsii. It grows in well-drained moist fertile soils and prefers a protected sunny position and is frost tolerant but drought tender.

This shrub is grown for its flowers and it compact habit. It is planted in small to medium size gardens as a specimen or in shrub borders for screening and establishes in 2 to 3 years. It is also used for cut flowers and may be grown in a tubs or planter boxes tolerating cool mountain or coastal regions. ID 1712
