This slow growing coniferous tree has a trunk has bark that sheds in plates to reveal creamy patches and forms a dense bushy crown. It has yellowish green needle-like leaves and the yellowish green female flowers appear in spring followed by cones.

The Lacebark Pine is grown for its attractive bark and foliage. It establishes in 3 to 5 years but normally will not attain its mature height under cultivation.
