Grevillea baileyanais naturally found from far-north Queensland in Australia to Papua New Guinea growing on the coast and adjoining hill sides along creek banks or ridges that are associated with rainforests.

It prefers a well-drained moist organic rich acidic soil in a wind protected sunny position and is drought tolerant but heavy-frost tender.

White Oak rarely attains 8m (25ft) under cultivation and is grown for its attractive leaves. It is planted in parks and gardens as a specimen or as a street tree. It is also used along borders for a tropical effect and establishes in 3 to 5 years. It is suitable for sub tropical or tropical settings on the coast and in the lower mountains, tolerating light frost. ID 1532

Note:
It is not widely cultivated but plants grow as far south as Melbourne but may be difficult to obtained requiring a specialist nursery.
