This unusual large shrub to small tree has an upright trunk that is topped with divided leaves forming a rounded crown. It has oblong lobed grey-green leaflets and the yellow flowers appear in panicles during late summer.

It will establish in 2 to 4 years and can tolerate drier conditions or is suitable for temperate mountain gardens.
