This sub-shrub has a low spreading habit with short stems. It has large rounded dull green leaves and the deep lavender-blue papery funnel-shaped flowers appear in a cluster on a branched stem above the foliage during summer.

Limonium perezii is naturally found in the Canary Islands growing in an open sunny position on moderately fertile moist sandy soils. It is drought and salt spray tolerant but frost tender.
Sea Lavender is an attractive hardy perennial that is grown in moist perennial borders or used in patio tubs and planter boxes.
