This shrub has an erect branched habit that forms an open crown. It has minute mid-green narrow-ovate leaves that lay flat along the branchlets and the mauve-pink cup-shaped flowers appear in clusters during spring.

Kunzea oppositais naturally found on the east coast of Australia from south-eastern Queensland to north-eastern New South Wales growing on the coast and adjoining tablelands. It is normally grows in sandy soils but will tolerate most moderately fertile well drained soils. It prefers a sunny open to protected position and is drought and frost resistant.
Pink Kunzea is grown for its vibrant flowers. It is planted in small to medium size gardens as a specimen or as a container plant. It is also used in bushland settings and is suitable for coastal and tableland regions. It is fast growing establishing in 2 to 3 years. ID 1130
