This heath-like shrub to small tree has an upright to prostrate habit with slender willowy branches. It has dark green lanced-shaped leaves and produces prolific clusters of white wheel-shaped flowers from late spring to summer.

It prefers a well drained sandy loam that is moderately fertile in an open sunny position and is drought and mildly frost resistant.

The Twiggy Heath-myrtle is grown for its dense rounded habit and dainty white flowers. It is suitable for small or native gardens and is planted along borders for screening or used as a tub specimen.
