This shrub to small tree has erect branching from the base and forms an open crown. It has dark green divided leaves and the greenish flowers appear in an open cluster above the foliage during summer.

It prefers a semi shaded to sunny wind protected position and grows in well drained fertile moist clay loam and is drought tolerant but frost tender.
