This perennial grass has tillers with upright foliage and forms a clump. It has yellow-green linear leaves that are upright and arching and tapers to a point and the drooping flowers appear in a cluster from spring to summer.

Panic Veldtgrass is commonly seen growing in gardens and in lawns or is found on pastures. It is not normally cultivated as an ornamental plant and it is found in the shade areas and is commonly regarded as a weed that is controlled by hand removal or sprayed with glyphosate. ID 881
