This perennial herb has an upright reddish stems that form a compact rounded habit with a tap and fibrous lateral roots. It has mid-green lanced-shaped leaves and the green-white flowers appear in a dense sticky cluster from spring to summer.

Parietaria judaica is naturally found in Europe growing in well drained, fertile moist light soils in an open sunny position and is frost and drought tender.
Sticky Weed is not normally cultivated as a ornamental plant and is commonly regarded as a weed that invading water courses or rock walls crevices. It also appears on disturbed land as it is spread by seed quickly. It is controlled by hand-pulling (careful that they don't snap off) or sprayed with 1% solution of glyphosate bi-monthly. ID 843
