It prefers a well drained fertile moist soil in a semi shaded protected position and is frost and drought tender.

Scurvy Weed is grown for its spreading habit and its blue flowers. It is planted in small or bush gardens as a groundcover or used in understorey plantings and as a spill-over in rockeries. It is also grown in pots and tubs but may become rampant and require control but it dies back during winter.ID 839
