Trifolium repens is naturally found from Europe to Asia growing in a variety of habitats in well drained fertile moist sandy soil in an open sunny position and is frost tender but drought tolerant.

White Clover is not commonly cultivated as an ornamental plant as it tends to be weedy. It is a fast growing invasive perennial that appears in lawns, garden beds, improved pastures and cultivated soils. It is relative safe for grazing animals and is difficult to control. ID 825

Note:
Control methods include physically removal of the plant or by applying nitrogen rich fertiliser. It can also be sprayed with selective or non-selective herbicides.
