Agrostis palustris is naturally found throughout Eurasia growing in well drained, fertile moist light soils in an open sunny position and is drought tender but frost and salt tolerant.
Creeping Bent is grown for its soft foliage and its spreading habit. It is used in cool humid regions in domestic gardens or is suitable for intense culture in bowling greens and on golf putting greens. The high maintenance restricts its common use as a lawn and it is susceptible to many pests and diseases in warm humid environments.ID 682
