Eucalyptus albensis naturally found in Australia growing from the Darling Downs in southern Queensland to the tablelands of New South Wales and Victoria in woodlands on gentle slopping countryside associated with mountains in heavy soils.
It prefers a deep well drained fertile moist clay soil with a basalt and limestone base in a open sunny position and is frost and drought tolerant.
White Box is grown for its rounded crown and its fairly fast growth rate. It is used in sub-alpine plantings as a windbreak or planted along roadsides. It is also planted in parks and large gardens as a lawn specimen for shade and establishes in 2 to 3 years. It is important forest tree for its dense timber that is used for poles, railway sleepers, fencing and as fuel wood. It is easy to grow and attracts bees for honey production. ID 635
