This small tree has a greyish trunk with many spreading branches that form a broad rounded crown. It has divided glossy dark green leaves with a soft appearance and the white-yellow trumpet-shaped flowers appear in a cluster during summer.

When young it is grown as a potted indoor plant and establishes in 2-3 years and is long lived.
