This deciduous tree has a single trunk with spreading branches that form a rounded crown. It has bright green trilobed leaves that turn yellow-orange and then red in autumn and the tiny insignificant small green flowers appear in a cluster during spring.

Normally autumn colour occurs later than other deciduous trees and performs well in warmer climates.
