Rock Cotoneaster is grown for its spreading habit and is planted in gardens as a ground cover or spill-over above retaining walls. It is also mass planted on embankments and grafted plants are used as a weeping standard. It establishes in 3 to 4 years and is long lived and commonly grown in rockeries. The cut foliage with fruit is used as indoor decoration. ID 212
